ABOUT THE AUTHOR
About the Author of Improve Your Grades
The author, Veltisezar B. Bautista, an "average" student during his
elementary, high school, and college years, became an honor student when
he went back to college, while raising a family and holding a full-time
job. A journalist and author of four other books, including How to
Teach Your Child and The Filipino Americans (1763-Present) Their
History, Culture, and Traditions, Bautista attributes his success to the
use of effective studying and test-taking techniques. The same
techniques were used by his children, one of whom graduated summa cum
laude from the University of Michigan. Bautista, a freelance writer and
an entrepreneur, lives with his wife, Genoveva Abes, a physician in
Aurora, Illinois.
